Anti-AI or pro-AI?

Timing. The round runs for one calendar month from the opening of contributions. The countdown and closing time appear above. If the following month has no matching date, the round ends on its last day at the same UTC time. Once contributions open, later payment interruptions do not extend the deadline. Only successfully paid card contributions confirmed by the payment provider before the deadline count. Opening checkout does not reserve a place.

Winner and ties. The side with the most eligible dollars wins. In a tie, the charities share the 90% allocation equally, after processing fees. Results remain provisional during a 7-day reconciliation period after closing.

Donation. The organizer collects the money and donates it manually. A transfer receipt will be published here.

Money and refunds. Refunds, reversals and disputed payments are excluded. Processing fees come out first. Of the money left, 90% goes to the winning charity and 10% goes to the organizer. The final amounts are confirmed after reconciliation. Losing does not entitle you to a refund; statutory rights still apply. Late payments and a canceled contest will be refunded. The organizer will send the donation within 30 days of closing, subject to payment holds, and publish any delay and the final receipt.

Recipients. Anti-AI supports Stichting PauseAI; pro-AI supports LAION e.V. Neither organization operates or endorses this contest. If the winning recipient cannot accept the donation, the affected contributions will be refunded rather than redirected to another cause.

Leaderboard. The top 10 individual confirmed contributions are ranked by amount, with earlier payments first in a tie. Names are self-selected aliases, not verified identities. Impersonation, hateful names and personal information may be hidden. No monetary prizes, ownership rights or returns are offered to contributors.

Tax and privacy. Payments go to the organizer, not directly to a charity; no charitable tax receipt is promised. Your chosen name, side and amount may appear publicly. Card details are handled by the payment processor and never stored on this site. Payment references and contribution records are retained for reconciliation and necessary accounting. We estimate unique visitors using a protected network identifier, without storing raw IP addresses in the visitor counter. Only the site operator can see the counts. No advertising trackers are used.
